Borrow another ring she regularly wears. As a last resort, wrap a thin strip of tape around the band — but only if you're okay with the possibility of damaging the band when removing the tape.

Nail polish remover acetone if you make a mistake or need to remove the nail polish. It is installed into the inside of the ring band and serves the purpose of keeping the ring tight and snug. Making a ring smaller is easier than making it larger — the process of downsizing is actually pretty simple.

The only sure fire way to get the size right is to do some digging, to go under the radar and find out their ring size. Karolina22 2 years ago. After losing a lot of weight my wedding ring would no longer stay on my finger. Since the razor blade was longer than the 1 inch width tape I could make a straight cut all the way across simply by pressing down on it over a cutting board.
There are options out there to help the prized piece of jewelry feel perfectly snug on that finger. I have a question how can I fix my rings so that way my dog won't her toenails coult in it.
Thank you so much for the help! All the jeweler has to do is cut a chunk of the band and weld it back together. Then apply the clear nail polish over the top and to the sides of the tape. It was thick and spongy and easy to cut. This requires a little bit more craftsmanship than the other options, but it yields great looking and effective results.
