This was extremely helpful: Ask COM Library! To start fresh, highlight the text that needs the hanging indent, and then right click. I'm writing a paper, I started a new paragraph, where I want the whole thing indented. View In Portrait Mode. You just save my life. Thank you sooooo much!!! Then specify how much of an indent you want in the box to the right of it usually, 1 cm is fine.
If you're using the online version of MS Word, it can't be done. When you paste your text, use the remove formatting button. How satisfied are you with this response? Thank you for your feedback!

In my hands, these instructions only work for the line this is performed on. To indent the first line, on the horizontal top ruler, drag the First Line Indent marker where you want the text to start. Thanks to you, I don't have to. Regards, Barry.
Contact Support. Your citation will now be both double spaced and have a hanging indent. With the first line indent set, there's no need to use the tab key at the beginning of a paragraph.
Now, you can start your paragraph with a tab. Select Hanging to create a hanging indent, and then specify the size of the indent in By.
